Alexander de Swart has been with our firm since November 2003, operating from our Rotterdam office. As of January 1, 2009 he became a partner at Sjöcrona Van Stigt. He mainly handles major fraud cases, proceeds of crime cases and environmental criminal cases. He also advises companies and its directors on issues such as compliance and asset tracing after (internal) fraud. Furthermore, he focuses on assistance of police officers involved in shootings and other (violent) incidents.

Mr. De Swart is a member of the Dutch Association of Defense Counsels and the International Bar Association. He has published various articles in the field of criminal law.

Mr. de Swart studied criminal law and law and computerization at the Tilburg University. From 2001 - 2003 he was a defense lawyer at the Amsterdam based law firm ‘Boekel De Nerée’. Mr. de Swart has a good command of the English language.
