In 1992, Marlies van Strien was one of the founders of our law firm. She became partner in 1994. She practises from our offices in The Hague, specialising in economic criminal law with an emphasis on environmental criminal law, matters of criminal liability under the Working Conditions Act and cases involving railroad (construction) accidents. Her clients include medium-sized and large corporations.

She is a member of the Dutch Association of Defence Counsel and Chairs the Criminal Law Advisory Commission of the Supervisory Board of the Netherlands Bar Association in The Hague. She teaches Criminal Procedure in the vocational training for advocates.

Ms. Van Strien studied in Rotterdam and speaks English, French and German.
