Specialisation
All advocates at Sjöcrona • Van Stigt are skilled at general matters of criminal law and criminal procedure. Many of them also have their own speciality (or specialities). Below, you will find a list of the specific fields of expertise.
Our associates and interns are selected based on their affinity with criminal law and the role of the advocate as defender of the client's interests. Before joining our firm, they have generally gained relevant practical or scientific experience, which means they are immediately available for specialist work.
Specialities
Many of our advocates have been admitted as Members of the Dutch Association of Defence Counsel (DADC), a specialist Association, recognized by the Netherlands Bar Association. Dr. Jan M. Sjöcrona is one of the founding members of the DADC.
A considerable number of our advocates act as lecturers or examiners in various courses for advocates, or on another post-academic level.
