Mrs. Caroline L.A. de Sitter, LL.M.

Caroline de Sitter joined our firm in September 2005 and practices from our offices in The Hague. She primarily handles white collar crime and general criminal law cases, as well as international criminal law cases.

Before joining our firm, she lectured in Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure at Leiden University in 2004-2005. Caroline de Sitter lectures on recent developments in Criminal Law and Procedure as part of the continuous training programme of Hague lawyers. She has published on criminal causality and confiscation regulation. Furthermore, she contributed as a co-author to the last edition of Tekst en Commentaar Internationaal Strafrecht (International Criminal Law).

Caroline de Sitter was President of the Young Bar Association of the Supreme Court of The Netherlands in 2007-2008.

She is a member of the European Criminal Bar Association and the International Bar Association.

She deals with the selection of students applying for an internship - 2 months minimum - at our The Hague offices, who want to experience the day-to-day practice of criminal defence (and are serious about their future in this field).

She studied Criminal and Civil Law in Leiden and speaks English.
