Carolien Noorduyn joined our firm in September 2003 and practices from our offices in The Hague. She mainly handles general and economical criminal cases as well as Supreme Court litigation.
She has published on Life, amnesty and section 5 sub 4 ECHR and co-authored an article on client-attorney privilege.
Following her qualification in 2000, she took a Masters of Philosophy degree in Criminology at Cambridge University in Great Britain. She then went on to teach Civil Law at the State University in Groningen, followed by two years of working for the Supreme Court as a law clerk (Criminal Section).
Ms Noorduyn is a member of the European Criminal Bar Association and of the International Bar Association.
She deals with the selection of students applying for an internship - 2 months minimum - at our The Hague offices, who want to experience the day-to-day practice of criminal defence (and are serious about their future in this field) and teaches Criminal Procedure in the vocational training for advocates.
Ms. Noorduyn studied Criminal and Civil Law in Groningen. She is fluent in English and has a fair command of French and German.
