Associate Martine Luijten
Martine Luijten (admitted to the Bar in 2018) works from our Rotterdam office and handles economic and general criminal cases.
Education and career
After obtaining a bachelor's degree in Cultural Anthropology & Sociology of Non-Western Societies (2008) and a master's degree in Holocaust & Genocide studies (2009) from the University of Amsterdam, Martine went to law school in Tilburg. At Tilburg Law School, she obtained a bachelor's degree in Dutch Law (2015) and a master's degree in International & European Law (2016; cum laude). After her graduation from law school, Martine gained experience in the field of international criminal law for more than one year, at the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia in Phnom Penh and the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
Before becoming an associate at Sjöcrona Van Stigt Advocates, Martine worked at our firm as a paralegal.
