In order to implement the desired economic policies, the Government is taking quite a number of measures to regulate relations on the markets for goods, services, capital and labour. Most of these measures are laid down in various laws. For instance in the Import and Export Act, the Commodities Act, the Environmental Management Act, and the Labour Conditions Act. Under the Economic Offences Act, violating the provisions in said special acts is penalised.
Our advocates deal with 'economic' cases on a daily basis, for instance on behalf of businesses in the ports of Amsterdam and Rotterdam, gas mining corporations active on the Continental Shelf and on behalf of road construction companies.
